The most interesting part is the step of post- listening. Through the role play, the students will cooperate with other students to practice what they have learned in the class which includes the new words such as classroom, floor, computer, etc and the sentence patterns such as “how many …are there …?”. In the meanwhile, the students will cultivate their interest in English learning by taking part in the role play and release the stress in the activity filled with laughter. The step of post-listening is based on the English new curriculum and suitable for the development of the students. Furthermore, the students can put what they have learned in class into practice in the step of post-listening.

2. what is the function of pre-listening in this lesson?

The step of pre-listening is very important in the lesson, which not only activate the motivation of learning this lesson, but also inspire the interest in English learning. In this lesson, I provide them background knowledge about the topic and present new words and sentence patterns within context which can clear up linguistic and cultural barriers. In the meanwhile, I make the students get familiar with the content by the means of decoding words and sentence patterns which paves the way for the while-listening .In the step of pre-listening, I create a situation about welcoming a new student and introducing our school to the students, which is beneficial for grasping the basic knowledge and using the news words and new sentence patterns. I think the pre-listening make the while-listening easier and more efficient.
