英语听说教学在英语教学中占有举足轻重的位置,撰写教学设计和试讲也是近年来教招考试中出现频率较高的考查形式,能够测出考生的语言功底和表达能力。故设计好一堂听说课是考生在面试中取得成功的第一步。本文以牛津版四年级上期Unit 5 Our New Home听说课为例进行教学设计,该教学设计以学生的现实生活为出发点和归宿点,旨在发挥学生的实际语言运用能力。

Teaching aims:

Knowledge aims:

Students can master the topic related sentences of asking price.

Students will enhance their awareness of numbers.

Ability aims:

Students can ask the price in English when they buy something.

Students will be good at speaking English gradually.

Emotional aims:

Students will be more confident when they talk with others in English.

Students will develop correct attitude toward money.

Teaching key points and difficult points:

Key points:

Students can remember the topic related sentences of asking price

Students can remember how to read some numbers, such as: forty, twelve etc.

Difficult Points:

Students can develop correct attitude toward money.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Warming up

Greet students and sing a song Ten little Indians for students to lead in the topic: how much?

(Justification: Lead in the topic of asking price naturally and students will be very interested in learning English with a English song at the first beginning of a class.)

Step 2 Pre-listening

Before listening, review the new words and numbers they’ve learned the last class and the sentence of asking price .

(Justification:Students will be prepared when they listen the tape and they will be confident because they can predicate what they will listen in the tape.)

Step 3 While-listening

When they listen, they will have two question to answer. They will listen the tape twice and when they finished, they need talk with each other whether they are right using the sentence showed in the listening material.

(1) How much is a fan?

(2) How much is an umbrella?

(Justification: Cultivate their listening skills and awareness of task. They will be more confident when they listen English materials.)

Step 4 Post-listening

1. Ask students to retell the main idea of the listening material with their desk-mates according to the questions they’ve finished just now. When they finished, invite two groups to retell it in front of the classroom.

2. set a situation for students: there are something in a shop, two students in a group and one is the customer, the other is the seller. They will have 6 minutes to do this task and when they finished, they need to show their conversation in front of the class.

(Justification: In order to let students practice their oral English, these two funny practices will help students not only focus on the new knowledge but also improve their oral English and their confidence and cultivate their awareness of money.)

Step 5 Summary and homework

Summary: Summarize the sentence and let students to read it loudly to help them to remember it.

Homework: Ask parents the price of furniture in their family. And let them to understand their parents and let them be more closed.
