Students can master the sentence structures “Is he kind?”, “Yes, he is” “No, he isn’t”.

Ability aims:

Students can ask other personality and answer it correctly.

Students can learn to talk about their friends and teachers with others.

2.Presentation

1. Show some pictures of some teachers and invite students to describe their teachers.

Use pictures to teach students some new words, such as “old young kind…”

2. Let students listen to the tape for the first time and find out what Wu yifan and Oliver are talking about.

Then let students listen to the tape again and answer some questions:

a. Who is Mr. young? (He is a music teacher.)

b. Is Mr. Young? (No, he isn’t)

c. Is Mr. Young funny? (Yes, he is)

3.Let students listen to the tape for the last time and read after the tape, Then the teacher will write down the key sentences on the blackboard.

Step 4 Production

The teacher will give students 5mins, they need to work in pairs to talk about their teachers. One student guess, for example: “is she young?” and the other student should answer: yes, she is./No she isn’t. After practicing, the teacher will invite some groups to perform in front of the class.
